Soap Stars Recording Sesh

Soap Stars, a local Allston pop rock band, is wrapping up production of their first full length album. The recording was done locally at Kissy Pig Studio, and produced by Dave Westner of Tori Pyne.

The boys listen to the track in progress and have a beer while they ponder adjustments.

I catch my reflection in Mikey P's glasses while the boys take an M&M break.

Wasting more time in between tracks, we play with the reflections in a studio mirror.


And the boys discuss changes during a cig break in the bathroom.

Charlie told me that Dex was going to burn this hat. So I wrote his name on it. It was amusing at the time. On the upside, Dex must have thought the hat looked SWELL because he never burned it and Charlie still rocks it to this day.

Rhymes With Dolores Casa Party

The night we had Rhymes With Dolores was the first officially sponsored Casa party. By Miller Lite, coincidentally. Our photography assignment for the evening was to capture as many special "Miller moments" as possible to send along to the promotions company and hopefully get sponsored again. Since clearly Miller Lite made this party, we would like to thank them, as well as the three great bands, Before Lasers, The Heavy, and of course, Rhymes with Dolores. I'll never forget the "Casa Bonita" song!

Casa pre party... we have to cage olly just to get anything clean for 5 minutes. Of course he came out for the party as he loves socializing.


I love the kid passed out on the couch in front of the bathroom. He had too much Miller Lite so he went to pee but passed out while waiting also because he had too much Miller Lite. That's a double thank you!

Movie Night

Every Wednesday night during summertime at Rugg road Blake would do us the honor of projecting a movie on the side of the building. It always brought a great crowd, and since it took us so long each week to agree on which movie to play, we had plenty of time beforehand for taking pictures.These were some sad sunflowers that somebody left on the side of the road and of course, I had to retrieve.
Then Olly decided they looked tasty.
This was all that was left of the bunch.
